Internet had been introduced in Algeria in 1994 through the research centre "CERIST" for 3 objectives: - create Internet infrastructure called "wissal" (www.wissal.dz) with services offered to people, institutions, business companies, - create the research and education research called "ARN" (www.arn.dz), - create the entity "DZ-NIC" (www.nic.dz) who manages the ccTLD .dz.
